One fee, on every line, disclosed before you sign

The standard every DAF plan is held to, written down. If a proposal violates any line below, it is not ours.

A furniture proposal is a set of promises about money. Most of them are vague on purpose. The DAF standard removes the vagueness by writing the promises down first — the same five rules, on every plan, for every client, whether the brief is a single chair or a full floor.

1. One fee is the only number we add

Our fee is 20% of supplier cost. Not of retail, not of landed cost, not of a mystery line called "service charge". The fee is the only number in the plan that is ours. Every other number belongs to the workshop, the freight forwarder, and the customs broker.

2. The fee never grows past 20%

If freight moves between quotes, if duty lands higher, if the port changes — the fee stays where it was disclosed. Freight and duty are recorded on the plan as pass-through lines, and they are reconciled against what they actually turned out to be.

3. If cost lands lower, the difference comes back

Every DAF plan is reconciled against true cost after the fact. When a supplier or forwarder bills us less than the plan carried, the difference is returned to the client. The plan's total was a ceiling, not a target.

4. Deposits are credits, not fees

A deposit to start a plan is credited toward the furniture, dollar for dollar. It is not a consultation charge, and it is not kept if the client walks away before production begins.

5. Install is billed at cost

When you want DAF to manage delivery and install, that work is billed at cost through vetted local partners — contractors, freight, and our coordination are shown on the plan as what they cost us, not as a percentage on top.

None of these five rules are capabilities. They are boundaries. You can check every plan against them line by line, and the check takes a minute. That is the point of writing them down: the standard is something a client can verify without taking our word for it.
